Dariel Solutions and South African Post Office work together
Dariel Solutions, a leading South African based professional IT services company and systems integrator, has recently undertaken a due diligence software audit for a division of the South African Post Office (SAPO).
"Dariel was approached to undertake this audit to ensure the system that SAPO had developed internally, as platform for its .Net capabilities, were correctly configured in terms of the architecture, coding and deployment and as a result aligned with its business requirements," says Greg Vercellotti, executive director at Dariel Solutions. "Our engagement with SAPO lasted two weeks to ascertain whether it made business sense for the future growth and direction of the company," says Vercellotti.
"We are one of the only companies locally that has developed a process that can correctly take technology and translate this into business outcomes, to ensure organisations can identify any risk or opportunities associated with their IT platforms and projects. As a result, we are able to ensure that businesses like, SAPO, can easily understand the state of their IT systems and gain the best business advantage out of these systems."
Vercellotti further adds that with the uptake on .Net platforms locally, many companies have undertaken these types of implementations. "However, the problem that exists is that the required software development skills are not always readily available and hence the correct methodologies, standards and architecture is not always correctly understood and implemented. Therefore, our due diligence software audits give guidance to customers on what options and recommendations are available to them to move their IT systems forward and fulfil the business promises they were implemented to undertake."
"We are able to do this as we are a development company, and have a practical approach rather than using a 'boiler-plate' approach," concludes Vercellotti.
